There is something for everyone - nature lovers, sports enthusiasts, people in search for a little peace of mind and those interested in culture can all get one’s money’s worth. The hotel offers one tennis court, a bowling alley, as well as city, mountain and E-Bikes from KTM. This is an ideal place for hiking and climbing (e.g. the new fixed-rope route on Mahdlgupf).

Well worth attending is the tour around Lake Attersee on the lovely ship (the landing place is directly in front of the hotel). Lake Attersee is very famous for scuba diving; in particular the south offers many beautiful diving places. For golf enthusiasts we have 9 golf courses, which are in the near surrounding, only 45 minutes away by car. A riding and therapy centre is in immediate vicinity. Our main house is only separated to the lake by a road, where our own bathing area is located.

The Riding and Therapy Centre „Moarbachhof“ – Steinbach at Lake Attersee

The riding and therapy centre provides the ideal place for equestrians and non-equestrians, for young and old. Whether it is dressage, showjumping, vaulting for children or trail riding what you are looking for, Riding and Therapy Centre “Moarbachhof – Steinbach at Lake Attersee” is waiting for your visit. Furthermore, people with physical limitation are much welcome as the facility has its own physiotherapist.

Mountaineering, hiking and climbing

Klettersteig Mahdlgupf
In July 2012 the new Klettersteig Mahdlgupf was opened at the 1.261 m high Madhlgupf. With nearly 1.200 m the fixed-rope route is perfect for experienced climbers with physical endurance. On top awaits you a marvelous view of the panorama across Lake Attersee and the beautiful Salzkammergut. The entrance to the fixed-rope route is located close to the hotel. Across the Nikolo Trail in the Jaga-Wolferl-Graben you enter the entrance after about 30 minutes. Furthermore, there is another entrance to the fixed-rope route near the forestry office of Steinbach. Indoor climbing paradise

The indoor climbing hall is perfect for bad weather. It is located in Steinbach at Lake Attersee. The climbing wall offers about 20 different trails and routs on 128m2 and a length of about 13m. Beside the climbing hall the recreation center has any kinds of sports activities to offer for young and old.

Hiking trails along Lake Attersee

Along Lake Attersee you can find various hiking trails. If it is across meadows or fields with the whole family or along the theme trail of Gustav Klimt – there are many possibilities. How about the Nixenfall in Weißenbachtal (Weißenbachvalley), which is based on a legend? Or the Keltenbaumweg in St. Georgen – on the trails of the Celts. The fairytale trail in Unterach is especially fit for our younger guests.

Snorkeling in Lake Attersee

Lake Attersee is well known for its crystal-clear water quality – which is ideal for divers. The lake is about 175m deep and with a surface of 46km2 the biggest and one of the most beautiful diving resorts in Austria. Lake Attersee has good diving conditions throughout the year with a range of vision up to 25m. In the summer the daylight reaches up to 40m into the water even if there is a bad range of vision. At the branches of the Diving Center Attersee (a lot of diving clubs and schools, furthermore filling stations around the lake) you will find good support and advice. Especially the nearby diving centers invite you to an exploration tour in the underwater world.

Watersports

The region around Lake Attersee offers a lot of different kinds of water sports like sailing, surfing, motorboats, water-ski, and fishing and more. Swim in the crystal clear water with drinking quality! With the open-air swimming bath card you can visit seven different locations around Lake Attersee and relax.
